A few miles east of Fairbanks on Highway Two is the little town of North Pole where we in an AirBnB for a couple of nights. Here Lynnette is standing at the actual North Pole!
Well, OK, it doesn't mark the actual geographic north pole, but it really is one of the two north poles. |
North Pole's biggest attraction is a gift shop named Santa Claus House. It started as a trading post along the highway in 1952. The business became known as the Santa Claus House, and has evolved over the years into the current roadside attraction.
They have a resident Santa Claus who Parker got to see the morning we left.

Next door is the Antler Academy featuring a herd of Reindeer (domesticated Caribou). | ||||||
